Ankle and Foot Pain

Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis is caused by inflammation of a thick band of tissue that connects the heel bone to the toes.
This inflammation usually causes increased pain in the mornings when placing your feet on the ground after getting out of bed. Pain can be sharp, shooing, and burning. Symptoms can also be a dull deep ache. The symptoms are usually worse after a period of sitting due to the shortening of the fascia, muscles, and tendons when non-weight bearing.

Achilles Tendonitis
Achilles tendinitis is an overuse injury and inflammation of the Achilles tendon. The Achilles tendon is the band of tissue that connects calf muscles, the gastrocnemius and the soleus, to the heel bone. The pain associated with Achilles tendinitis typically begins as a mild ache in the back of the leg or above the heel. It commonly occurs after running or other sports activity. The severity of pain can vary but it may be difficult due walk or push off the toes due to the pain.

Ankle Sprains/Strains
.A sprained ankle is an injury that occurs when you roll, twist or turn your ankle in an awkward way.
The most common ankle sprain is an inversion ankle sprain involving the outer ligaments and tendons of the foot and ankle. The ankle muscles, ligaments, and tendons are overstretched beyond their normal range of motion due to an injury or fall. This can stretch or tear the tough bands of tendons and ligaments that help hold your ankle bones together. Treatment for a sprained ankle depends on the severity of the injury.
