Rib Pain or Dysfunction
Are you experiencing rib pain in Shawnee, KS or Cheney, KS? Rib pain can be caused by chronic poor posture, muscular tension, improper biomechanics and stress on the upper back. Rib pain is often the result of inefficient movement in the thoracic spine, scapula, and shoulder combined with tightness in the neck, traps, shoulders, rhomboids, lats, and chest. We often also experience weakness in our mid back (postural muscles) that fail to keep us in good posture.

Rib Pain or Dysfunction
Rib pain occurs from a joint restriction along the thoracic spine and rib. Commonly once this occurs, muscle spams and scapula dyskinesia follow. The muscle spasm can created increased pain over time. Rib pain may feel sharp, nagging, achy, and or deep.
It is common for people to state that it is a "pinpoint pain" that they "can't reach."
You may have difficulty breathing or have increased in sharp pain when you inhale.
Symptoms of odd sensation, tingling, or localized numbness may occur at the region of complaint. You may also feel radicular pain wrapping around the chest due to the intercostal nerve.
